Physically, at 83, Gladys Knight is in fine form. He put on a 90-minute performance, bending down to shake hands with the ladies crowding the front of the stage. For someone his age, his agility was remarkable. His dialogue was full of funnies, and he hit every comedic beat perfectly. Admittedly, his vocals aren't wonderful, but he was very entertaining and engaging. My mom's favorite singer, I saw him when I was about 10 years old with my mom. Now, 50 years later, I'm happy to have the chance to see him again, and right around Mother's Day too. I remember crying because he moved me, even at that age. He's the consummate entertainer.
